How does it work?

It’s a little technical, by using multiple wavelengths (light colours), nbn can carry video signals to your home using the same fibre optic cable that provides your home with internet and telephone services. (the differing wavelengths mean the signals won’t collide or interfere with each other).

At your home, nbn install an optical to electrical convertor known as an Optical Receiver next to your NTD (Network Termination device). Whilst your home was built, coaxial cables have been run from this Optical Receiver to several wall-plates in the home.

All you need to do is connect your television or Foxtel set-top box to one of these wall plates, tune your television and start watching quality digital television!
